After the opening of two new offices in 2016 (Malaysia) and 2017 (Spain), this year the ShibataFenderTeam Group (SFT) is developing their presence on the Bulgarian market, selecting Stratcons Ltd. as its exclusive representative.

SFT is one of the leading international fender manufacturers with 50+ years of group experience in fender production, 100,000+ fenders in service, and 90+ years of experience in the production of rubber products. Shibata Industrial, headquartered in Japan, is responsible for production and R&D, while ShibataFenderTeam, headquartered in Germany, handles design and sales. Their regional offices in the US, Europe, and Asia are supported by a large network of well-established local representatives on six continents. As a specialist for customized fender solutions, they focus on vertical integration with in-house manufacturing and full-scale testing, offering high quality products at competitive prices.

Creating and protecting value – this is the essence of what their products are meant to do. SFT offers the full range of marine fender products, from simple rubber profiles up to highly engineered systems as well as accessories and fixings. Engineering excellence means that their partners can be confident in expecting the best from them in all areas. After many years of experience, they have gained a reputation as a dependable partner in the international port, harbor, and waterways market.

On August 29, 2018  Shibata Industrial celebrated the inauguration of the Group’s cutting edge, fully owned mixing plant for rubber compounds and fender production in Klang, Malaysia. “The steep growth in demand for SFT’s high quality rubber fenders was the catalyst for this far-reaching investment decision, which will further strengthen our global position as a leading fender manufacturer,” Hiroto Suzuki explained, Director at Shibata Industrial in Japan and Managing Director of the ShibataFenderTeam office in Malaysia.

Bulgarian ports need high-quality, reliable and durable fenders as much as anyone else in the industry.  ShibataFenderTeam’s goal is to offer relevant products at very competitive terms. This is the reason for SFT to look positively on the Bulgarian market.  They have chosen to partner with Stratcons Ltd.  who have more than 10 years proven track record in representing and assisting companies in the field of port services and marine engineering projects.

ShibataFenderTeam and Stratcons Ltd. are looking forward to a fruitful cooperation in serving Bulgaria-based clients with high-quality fender solutions at competitive terms.
